ABOUT ME

Jennifer, more affectionately known as Jen, is a self-taught artist with a love for capturing people, animals, and quiet moments on canvas. She grew up between Hong Kong, Canada, and the UK, and now works in tax at Deloitte while qualifying as a solicitor — but art has always been her escape and her way to slow down. Painting helps Jen find a calmer headspace, reflect on the philosophies she loves studying (esp Plato), and better understand human and animal emotions. She has always been fascinated by how much a small expression or glance can reveal about someone, and she tries to capture that as accurately as possible in her work. Every piece she creates is about connection — whether it's with the subject, the process, or the person who takes it home.

design your commission

One of the most rewarding parts of commissioning a piece is collaborating on the design. With her experience, artistic skill, and a good dose of imagination, Jen works closely with each client to bring their ideas to life — whether that means turning an old black and white photograph into a vibrant, full-colour painting, combining separate images into one thoughtful portrait, or even creating something more playful, like drawing you alongside a favourite public figure or character. The possibilities are wide open, and Jen is always happy to guide the process, offering creative suggestions to help ensure the final piece feels personal, meaningful, and completely unique.

This piece featured in the background is an original work by Jennifer.

This painting brings together an unlikely pairing — philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein and former U.S. President Donald Trump — inviting reflection on contrast, dialogue, and the complexities of human thought and influence. The composition places these two figures side by side, encouraging viewers to consider the tensions and intersections between philosophy, language, power, and public life. It’s a playful yet thought-provoking piece that leaves interpretation open to the viewer.
