Portraits and Studies
This collection brings together some of my favourite portraits and sketches — each one an exploration of character, emotion, and expression. From a quiet study of a statue at Tate Britain to a vibrant coloured pencil portrait of Ian McKellen, and a sketch of philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, these works reflect my ongoing fascination with capturing not just likeness, but personality. Alongside these are various other portraits and drawings, each an exercise in observing the subtle details that make us who we are.

design your commission
One of the most rewarding parts of commissioning a piece is collaborating on the design. With her experience, artistic skill, and a good dose of imagination, Jen works closely with each client to bring their ideas to life — whether that means turning an old black and white photograph into a vibrant, full-colour painting, combining separate images into one thoughtful portrait, or even creating something more playful, like drawing you alongside a favourite public figure or character. The possibilities are wide open, and Jen is always happy to guide the process, offering creative suggestions to help ensure the final piece feels personal, meaningful, and completely unique.
This piece featured in the background is an original work by Jennifer.
This painting brings together an unlikely pairing — philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein and former U.S. President Donald Trump — inviting reflection on contrast, dialogue, and the complexities of human thought and influence. The composition places these two figures side by side, encouraging viewers to consider the tensions and intersections between philosophy, language, power, and public life. It’s a playful yet thought-provoking piece that leaves interpretation open to the viewer.
